Being a mom often means that money goes fast! And nowadays, with our current inflation rate, basic expenses can be downright scary. We must save where we can and make our money stretch as far as it possibly can. Kids and everything that goes along with having kids is freaking expensive! Aside from the basics like food, clothing, and shelter, we also must worry about medical expenses, school expenses, health insurance, sports, dance classes, entertainment, and travel plus a million other things. If you’re like me, you probably always worry about the worst-case scenario and feel much better having an emergency fund.

Broke Ass Mom started as a whim a few years back when I made some videos about ways to save money and posted them on YouTube.  I was curious to see what would happen and was pleasantly surprised to see that people were actually interested in my ideas and wanted to learn more.  I decided to start this blog so that I could share with you even more of the money-saving and money-making tips I’ve learned over the years.

As a chronic entrepreneur for more than 15 years, I have tried out many different ways to make money. This has taught me what works and what doesn’t. I have learned so much over the years. Now I want to share that information with you!

When I became a parent for the first time in 2009, money was really tight because of the recession, and I found ways to save as much money as I could and got creative with it. I have had a lot of financial successes and some failures too, but I have learned from all of them. I have always been fiercely independent and made sure that I could always take care of my kids on my own financially if needed. I have always been able to work from home no matter where my income came from so that I could always be there for my kids while making money.

I’m here to help make your life easier by sharing my personal experiences. I will be posting regularly to my Blog about ways to make money while working from home, ways to save money, and (of course) amazing deals. I may also just talk about being a mom too. I hope that my content is helpful to you!
